Mission Mission was first published in February 2007. Allan used it mostly to occasionally showcase pictures of things he saw in the neighborhood. Today, it keeps thousands of readers enthralled daily with news, video, political analysis, photos, personal anecdotes, event announcements, oddities and more, with help from new contributors Lael, Tomi, Becca, Kevin, Sunny, Ariel and Mollie. In May of 2009, Mission Mission was named "Best Neighborhood Blog" in SF Weekly's Best of San Francisco issue.
